About Me

I am a multilingual UK registered therapist working Online and In-Person. I have been in private practice for over a decade and gained substantial experience in the NHS and in various addiction organizations.

I have an office in London, UK and In São Paulo, Brazil. I see adults, couples and families with a wide range of issues for time-limited, solution focused sessions and for long term psychotherapy.

My enthusiasm for supporting people to become more empowered in their lives began with my own therapeutic journey and evolved into training and becoming a clinician. Having lived in different countries I work sensitively with culture. I am fascinated by how it plays a major role in shaping people’s expectations, practices, relationships and view of the world.

My life experiences and rigorous professional training form the foundations of my integrative approach in delivering care and treatment in mental health. I obtained qualifications in Counseling, a Diploma in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts, and a Masters Degree in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy.

I have numerous certificates in Trauma work, Addiction, Psychosexual and Couple therapy training. My interest in the workings of the mind and the power of creativity grew into a way of approaching life and therapeutic solutions with my clients.

I am continuously developing my practice and aim to provide a safe space and a genuine presence to foster good conditions for growth. I perceive successful therapy to be one that offers support and also challenges enough to empower the individual.

Growth begins with self acceptance… here, now, as we are is a good place to start.

Orientation

My integrative training means that I have studied various approaches and have developed my own orientation drawing on theoretical knowledge, my clinical work and personal life experiences. I therefore offer a wide range of interventions within a framework that prioritises the relationship between the client and the therapist.

My theoretical orientation draws from neuroscience, attachment, psychodynamic and humanistic theories such as Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. I place a strong emphasis on the essence of the therapeutic relationship and use Clarkson’s relational framework to think about the multifaceted aspect of the dynamics enacted in therapy. I attend professional development courses to update my knowledge integrate useful evidence based concepts to offer best practice.

Philosophy

My working philosophy is rooted in the belief that we are social and relational beings and need others to grow as individuals. I believe our early experiences impact who we are, how we perceive ourselves and our relationships, and how we make meaning of life.

I see psychotherapy as guided by a strong set of ethical and professional principles, the core of which is to do no harm and offer genuine care, compassion and reflection to facilitate a reparative experience
